I Like To Read

I love to read however I have to be in the mood for reading so I'll go through periods where I won't read for months and then I'll go through periods where I'll read 5 books in one week. Right now I am in the latter, so I thought I would tell y'all about my most recent reads.

The Fault In Our Stars-John Green:

I have now read this book twice and both times I have wept for days after, I love it because it's such a realistic book, it doesn't romanticise cancer it shows how horrible it is and how painful it is to lose some one from it. I also love that it's about more than just love and cancer it's about friendship and growing up and travel.

For me this book is a definite 9/10.

If you haven't heard of this book I'm going to guess you live under a rock since it is now a movie which is in cinemas right now and it freaking awesome and made me feel way too many emotions.

Paper Towns-John Green:

Since I loved TFIOS so much I decided to buy more John Green books.

I honestly didn't know what to expect when reading this but I think its definitely now my favourite John Green book. It's about a guy (Q) thats in love with the girl next door (Margo) and one night she shows up in his room and she takes him with her to seek revenge on her friends, cause she just found out her boyfriend cheated on her. The day after she isn't at school and the rest of the book is about him trying to find her because whenever she disappears  she leaves little clues. It sounds like a mystery but honestly its not, I loved this book because it was unpredictable and I could never honestly say I knew what was going to happen next.

10/10

Still LOLO-Lauren Scruggs:

I got this book for my birthday, and when I get given books it always takes me the longest time to get round to reading them, so 2 months after my birthday I FINALLY got round to reading this book.

The book is the story of a girl who's life got turned upside down when she got hit by an aeroplane propeller. Its a true story and I loved it because she's a christian and it really does show how good God can be even when life is completely crap! This was something I really needed to hear when I read this book so that was pretty awesome!

This book gets a 8/10 from moi

Breakfast at Tiffany's-Truman Capote

I have loved the movie of this book for yeeaarrs and then when I was in London my Dad was so determined for me to read the book that he actually bought me it!

This book is pretty much completely different to the movie, and surprisingly short! In the book there is much less of an obvious relationship between Holly and Paul, and it is also made more obvious in the book what Holly does for a living. I loved the book but because of how different to the movie it was I found it almost disappointing

6/10 for this one

Looking For Alaska-John Green

I like John Green okay!?

This one was probably my least favourite out of the three, I loved it don't get me wrong, just not as much as the other two! Its about a boy who starts going to boarding school in the hopes of making his life more exciting and then when he's there he falls in love with a girl who's definitely a little messed up and its mostly about there relationship and the first year of school etc! I liked this book because it was another book where I couldn't see what was coming and it kept me on my toes.

8/10

Thats what I've been reading recently, what about you? Feel free to comment below recommending a book, I'm always looking for new reads!
