ADVENTURE TIME!

So I know the title of my Blog is 'The Life of a Young Adventurer' and this may seem very misleading as I am yet to post about any adventures, but fear no more as I have a tale to tell.

Bottom-Nic, Faye and Sarah. (Joel (my brother) also came)

The Midnight Road trip-24/03/13

On Fridays I always go to the youth group at my church with all my friends and it's always really fun and we have a laugh, but this Friday was extra special because Pete is back for 4 weeks from university.
Because we're all over 16 we help lead the youth group and then stay back afterwards to help clear away and debrief, and while we were waiting to leave Sarah exclaimed how she "could murder a McDonald's right now." to which we all said "Aw yeah, us to" thus the start of what was going to be a loooong night.
As you can guess our first stop was McDonald's an amazing treat for me since I haven't been in AAAGGGEESS. We were there for about and an hour and a half just talking and catching up with each other, but we got to the point where we didn't really want to be at McDonald's anymore so we decided we were all gonna come back to our house. As we were heading out the door Sarah suggested we go climb a hill, as you do at 12am.
We then headed back to our house to get torches and warm clothes, and before you knew it we were off out again. We stopped at a petrol station to stock up on necessities (Easter eggs, Lucozade and chocolate raisins) and headed to Captain Cooks monument John Mayer full blast.
The first thing we noticed when we got there was the wind, IT WAS SOOOO WINDY! But we were there and we weren't going home without conquering that hill!
We eventually made it to the top and when we looked out at the view it was alll worth it, you could see the whole of Teesside lit up by street lamps and it was awesome. We then chilled for a bit, went back down, went home and all before 3am. I slept til 1pm on Saturday and was still tired on Sunday.

Quote of the day-

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”
